Hey folks @austinchidera here with my new article about Food and it Health benefits in which I will highlight the health benefits associated with orange.
We should try to add variety of fruits in our diet because they have bio-active components in them that help in preventing many diseases.

Orange is the fruit of citrus specie(citrus sinensis). It is called sweet orange to differentiate it from the citrus aurantium reffered to as bitter orange.

HEALTH BENEFITS

Orange are low in calories and also rich in nutrient. Orange is the most common fruit in my country Nigeria due to it natural sweetness. It also contain anti-inflammatory properties and also have a strong antioxidant.

The nutritional properties in orange offers many health benefit which include;

CONTROL HEART RATE

Orange contain minerals such as potassium which is an important part of cell and body fluid that control heart beat and also blood pressure by countering the effect of Sodium in the body.

VITAMIN C

Orange, is a good source of vitamin c. Vitamin c is a strong antioxidant. Adding orange to your daily meals helps the human body to fight infection and harmful invading organisms.

B-COMPLEX VITAMIN

Orange is an excellent source of thiamin and folates. These vitamins are necessary in the sense that the human body needs them through our daily meals for replenishment.

TREATMENT OF CONSTIPATION

Taking fresh orange/orange juice can help alleviate constipation by softening the content in the bowel. It is also good for digestive disorder.

HEALTHY SKIN

Orange contain vitamin c which help your body synthesize Collagen. It also help your body produce VITAMIN A which assist the skin cell growth.

LACK OF APPETITE

It mostly common in sick people, it serve as an appetizer which enable them eat. Taking orange on an empty stomach causes hunger. Orange is also use in the production of drug called Multi-Vitamin.

EASY DIGESTION

Taking orange eithet before or after your meals help your food digest easily.
