2nd Recipe: Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

Hello Foodies,

Many of us must have ordered "Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo" during our visits to various restaurants. It's a classic dish with a unique recipe. I have been cooking it for a while to satify my taste buds. Actually, it's one of my favorite comfort foods for years.

The recipe I am going to share is so EASY, HEALTHY and FULFILLING. I hope you will enjoy this classic, creamy chicken alfredo recipe!!

Ingredients:

Fettuccine or vermicelli pasta (3/4 lbs)
Fresh Chicken Breast (2 lbs)
Garlic cloves (2-4) minced or pressed
Thickly sliced Mushrooms (1lb)
Finely Chopped small Onion (1)
1/2 cup milk and 1/2 heavy cream or 3.5 cups half-and-half
Salt and pepper (as per taste)
Chopped parsley (1/4 cup)
Olive ool (5 tbsp approx)
Butter (1tbsp)

Preparation and Method to Cook!

Once you have gathered all the ingredients, be ready because, it's time to do the magic!

Firstly, you need to cook fettuccini in a large pot of salted water, please follow the package instructions . The water quantity should be 4 qts with 1 Tbsp of salt.

Secondly, pick up the chicken breast and thinly slice it into strips and season the strips with salt and pepper all over. Once it's done, add 2tbsp olive oil in a large deep frying pan, put it on your stove and set the heat to medium level. Let it fry until golden brown. It might take Max 5 minutes. Once its over,please remove chicken from the pan and cover to keep warm.

Do keep an eye on the boiling fettuccini!

Thirdly, you may use the same pan and once again put it over medium heat and add 3 Tbsp olive oil and 1 Tbsp of butter along with sliced onion and than saute it for 3 minutes or until soft. Once you find the onions and getting tender soft, it's the time to add sliced mushrooms into the same pan and cover it for 5-7 minutes, keep on stirring frequently. Now, add garlic and saute it for another 30 seconds, don't forget to stir constantly.

Fourth Step, is to add half-n-half into the same pan over medium heat 5-7 min, or until the mixture gets thicker. After it's done, chicken strips should be added back to the mixture along with 1/4 cup parsley and season sauce to taste (1/2 to 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper).

The last step, once the heavenly taste mixture is prepared. All we need is too add pasta and stir to combine. Heat another minute and then turn off the heat, cover and let pasta rest 10-15 minutes then stir to combine and serve!!!
