ColorChallenge - TuesdayOrange - Orange curd tarts

After a long research what to post for Tuesday orange I finally got conclusion. So I prepared one dish I don't know is it popular or not but got the recipe from my mother. My parents love this and I want to say thanks to them. This post dedicated to them.

Already I have meshed up my kitchen floor for preparing itnbut feel taste so good.

It is a very delicious dish for breakfast or anytime also it quite good healthy food.

Ingredients Required.

For making tarts you need very simple household items.

  1. Plain flower. 1 1/2 cup
  2. Custer Sugar for filling. - 1/3 cups and extra 1/2 cup keep aside.
  3. Unsalted diced butter - 130 gm
  4. Egg and separate Egg yolk. - 2 to 3
  5. Chilled water. - as required.
  6. Fresh cream. - 3/4
  7. Orange Juce well stained. 1/3 cups.
  8. Funky grated orange zest. - 3 tbsp.
  9. Orange sliced very finely. - 1 orange

How to prepare.


Step 1 :
First prepare pulp for pastry. Place sugar butter and flour in a food processor and process untill it becomes a ball. Add fine bread crumbs to for cfunchy ness. Add egg yolk and enough water to make Dough. Wrap with cling wrap and keep in refrigerator for 20 min.

Step 2 :
Now preheat the oven to 160c - 180c fan. In between take the Dough on a light floured board and rolled till approx 5mm thick. Keep the prepared one in a tart pan and keep it in cool for another 10 to 5 min.

Step 3:
Now line up all the pastry with pastry paper and fill with pastry weight or rice. Then bake it for 15 min. Then remove the weight , paper and bake it for another 5 min until golden brown.

Step 4:
Now take a bowl and keep the egg, cream, lime zest, sugar and lime Juce. Mik well all the ingredients.
After the ingredients prepared pour it into the tart shell and then baked it for another 30 to 35 min.

While tart is baked prepare the candid oranges.
Make the caramel sugar by pouring water in a pan and pour sugar into it. Make it boil until it becomes sticky. After the caramel get syrupy pour the oranges into it and boil on low flame . After oranges get soft and tender set aside for cooling.

Now check the tart when it is prepared place the orange sliced on the tarts and serve hot.

wonderful wonderful it nice and very delicious because of the ingredients the person used to prepared the food but actually am in Ghana and am dieing for this food l really want to have some
