While I love my green smoothie for breakfast, sometimes you need a change to keep things interesting. So today's breakfast is something totally different. Fresh, local grown watermelon and honey collected straight from a wild bee hive in the jungle, topped with my 2 favorite superfoods: goji berries and hemp hearts.

A good start to a beautiful sunny morning! I'm definitely ready for the day ahead!

FYI: If you want to learn how to make your own yogurt, it is super easy. Check out my previous post from a few months ago here for the full tutorial.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

1/2 cup plain yogurt, unsweetened and homemade if possible
1-1.5 cup watermelon, chopped
1 tbsp goji berries
1 tbsp hemp hearts
Drizzle of wild honey

Directions

  1. add the yogurt to a bowl. top with watermelon pieces, goji berries and hemp hearts. Drizzle with wild honey to taste.

Wow (Wild) Cambodian Honey. That's fantastic.

I love it! People are still pretty much farmers, gathers, and hunters over here. There are a lot of wild edibles hiding in the bush and jungle. This came to me through a friend in a water bottle, but I once was lucky to eat it straight of the comb when we were staying with friends in the middle of the Jungle in Kep... soooo delicious!
