Regulations and forcing market wages affect it more than most taxes.
But, yes, things like property tax need to go.
You're right, the idea of forcing a company to pay a wage is insane. If the job doesn't produce income for the company it will be eliminated or consolidated. I can't even believe we pay a tax for owning things, property taxes.
Not sure if you have seen me post this before, but, it used to be Life, Liberty and Property as the three inalienable rights. But, due to the slave issue, they changed it to Pursuit of Happiness. Property should not be taxes once you've paid for it.
