Recipe
Ingredients:

  1. Sausages - 1 packet/10 franks
  2. Potatoes - 2
  3. Tomatoes - 2
  4. Ginger Garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
  5. Green chillies - 4
  6. Coriander leaves
  7. Mustard Seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
Additionally if you would like to add beans and carrots, you may, it will only compliment the gravy! But I have not used them today.

Spices:

  1. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  2. Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  3. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  4. Chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon

How to cook:

  1. Cut the sausage into small pieces! Put some oil on the frying pan, keep it on a medium flame and once the oil is heated up, toss the sausage onto the frying pan! Wait till it is fried a little more than partial and a little less than perfectly fried! Take the fried sausages onto a plate.
  2. Take the excess oil from the frying pan and pour it into a bigger vessel. If the oil is less, add a little more oil. Heat the oil on a medium flame. Add mustard seeds and wait for it to burst.
  3. Add sliced onions and sliced green chillies in the oil and stir (or whatever you call it, hhaha) make sure that it does not get burnt and stuck to the vessel; but ensure the onions get dehydrated(hhahah), wait till the onions are partially yellow.
add sliced beans and sliced carrots now if you wish and keep stirring
  4. Add Ginger Garlic paste , keep stirring and add a pinch of salt.
  5. Add sliced tomatoes to it now; keep stirring.
  6. In a bit you will see tomatoes losing its firmness, add all the spices mentioned in the list as per the quantity above and add salt according to your taste.
  7. Keep stirring a bit and then add potatoes and continue stirring for less than 5 minutes.
  8. Add the fried sausages and stir.
  9. Add water into the vessel so that the potatoes( beans and carrots, if applicable)can be brought to boil.
  10. Keep stirring every 5-7 minutes, it should be ready within less than 20-25 minutes. Turn off the flame and add minced coriander leaves! And Stir! :) You are done!

Eat the sausage gravy with rice or bread or Arabic khuboos or Indian roti or chapati! Goes well with anything!

Hope you enjoy it; leave a feedback!
