Tahukah kalian Makanan satu ini merupakan makanan tradisional Aceh yang sering dijadikan menu utama saat hari raya. Namanya adalah Kue Timphan,kedengaran nya saja sudah membuat penasakan.
- Apakah Timphan itu?
Timphan adalah salah satu kue tradisional yang berasal dari daerah Aceh. Kue satu ini termasuk jenis kue basah yang biasa dibuat dari bahan dasar ketan dan pisang raja dan ada juga yang membuat nya dengan singkong dan labu. 
Di dalamnya biasanya terdapat berbagai varian isi seperti parutan kelapa atau srikaya. Timphan ini merupakan salah satu makanan tradisional yang cukup terkenal di Aceh, dan sering disajikan sebagai menu utama saat hari raya.
- Keunikan Dan Keistimewaan Timphan
Salah satu keunikan dari Timphan adalah bahannya yang terbuat dari campuran ketan dan pisang. Perpaduan dua bahan ini tentu akan menghasilkan citra rasa yang unik dan sangat khas yang didukung dengan isi yang terbuat dari bahan parutan kelapa atau srikaya tentunya membuat makanan satu ini semakin terasa sangat lezat dan istimewa.

- Proses Pengolahan Timphan
Seperti yang dijelaskan sebelumnya, Timphan merupakan kue basah yang terbuat dari bahan dasar ketan dan pisang. Pisang yang digunakan biasanya adalah pisang raja, karena memiliki tekstur yang halus dan aroma yang cukup kuat. Sedangkan untuk isi Kue Timpan bisa terbuat dari parutan kelapa, pisang, ataupun srikaya, 
untuk daun pisang yang digunakan biasanya merupakan daun pisang yang masih muda. Karena selain lebih lentur, daun pisang muda juga bisa menambah aroma pada kue saat dikukus.

Dalam proses pembuatannya, pertama harus membuat adonan ketan dan pisang terlebih dahulu. Untuk membuatnya, santan, pisang, serta tepung ketan dimasak. Lalu tambahkan gula serta garam sedikit demi sedikit dan aduk perlahan hingga matang. Kemudian dinginkan beberapa saat. Setelah dingin, adonan tersebut lalu dipulung atau digulung menjadi satu.
Kemudian setelah pembuatan adonan selesai, dilanjutkan dengan membuat isi Timphan. Untuk isi parutan kelapa dan srikaya, biasanya dilakukan dengan cara yang sedikit berbeda dan sesuai dengan bahan masing masing.
Setelah adonan dan isi timphan sudah siap, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan membuat Timphan. Untuk membuatnya, daun pisang dibentangkan di atas telenan dan taruh satu sendok adonan ketan di atasnya. Setelah itu beri isi timphan secukupnya, dan gulung adonan sampai isi timphan tertutup rapat adonan. Kemudian balut adonan tersebut dengan daun pisang dan kukus hingga matang.
Proses pengolahan di atas hanya sedikit gambaran tentang cara pengolahan Timphan. Sehingga bagi anda yang ingin membuatnya sendiri, anda bisa mencari resep yang lebih rinci dan lebih sesuai dengan keinginan anda.
