LOCUST BEANS STEW
Locust Beans Stew is an African delicacy and its also known as Obe Ata Iru among Yoruba people. It’s very versatile and can be eaten with pretty much anything , including boiled yam,rice and beans. I particularly love it with rice.Locust beans has numerous health benefit which include management of bacterial infections,treatment of stroke and hypertension,it promote good sight and aids digestion. It's a delicacy you should try out because it smell and taste nice ..I'm sure you will enjoy it.
INGREDIENTS
- Big Bell Peppers
- Scotch Bonnet Peppers
- Onions
- Palm Oil
- Assorted Meats
- Locust Beans
- Smoked Fish
- Stock fish
- Crayfish Powder
- Boiled Eggs
- Seasoning Cubes
- Salt to taste
PREPARATION
- Blend the Bell Peppers, Scotch Bonner and Onion coarsely, then set aside.
- Pour the Palm oil into a saucepan, then place on medium heat. When the Oil heats up, add chopped onions. Fry for few minutes.
- Add the Locust Beans and the blended Pepper.
- Add the Crayfish, Stock Cubes and Salt to taste.
- Fry for 20 minutes, make sure you stir from time to time to prevent burning.
- Add the Fish and the meats, then stir.
- Also... Add the boiled eggs.
Your Locust Beans Stew is ready..........
