Welsh Rarebit
This recipe is super simple, super quick and is way cheaper than cheese on toast. Its so easy you can make it in an ad break and you can check on the bitcoin price while you watch it brown.
You need for 10 rarebit:
10 slices of Bread (stale doesn't matter)
Grated Cheese (25-100g) Any sort but cheddar is best a little parmesan goes a long way too
Plain Flour (2Tablespoons)
Butter, oil or spread (2 Tablespoons)
Milk (half cup or so)
Mustard (1t)
Ok turn the grill on and lay the bread on a tray....grill
melt the butter and add the same amount of flour and mix together. Add a little milk and stir over heat until combined.
Then add the cheese and the rest of the milk, stir it quickly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thick and smooth.
Add the mustard to taste, a slice or two of ham finely chopped is nice too.
By now the bread will be toasted on one side, turn it over and spread a heaped spoon of the mixture over the bread.
Return to the grill and cook until the cheese is golden brown.
