I was looking for lunch at Marina Bay Sands before I go to Gardens by the Bay on Friday. The cheaper options there are not cheap so I thought I rule out cheaper this time and just walk around.
星期五，去比海湾公园之前在滨海湾金沙找吃的。较便宜的吃处也不会便宜所以也不用想便宜了。就走走。It's Friday lunch and maybe Bread Street have something less expensive than dinner. Took a look and move on.
星期五午餐可能这里比晚餐较便宜。再看看。继续走。
Hmm... I ate at this one before and thought it was called The Bird. Wonder was with the name difference. Different operator or same? The setting looks the same though.
嗯，以前在这里吃过但名字不一样。不知什么分别。换人吗？可是装饰还依然。
Then came by this Taiwanese place which I had not tried before. Their hot pot stuff are not cheap from what I remember.
然后来到这未去过的台湾餐馆。记得他们的火锅可不便宜。

可是看到他们这套餐。不是他们拿手火锅但有折扣。我想可以试试。
As I entered, this setup makes me think of the Bat Cave a bit though it's supposed to be a Taiwanese place.
进去时看到这不仅想起蝙蝠侠的洞虽然这可是可台湾餐馆。
My wife and I took a table further in. We early and there was nobody.
我太太和我坐更里面的桌子。早到所以没人。
We ordered 2 sets to share. First came the tidbits and soup. The soup was actually nice.
点了两个套餐。小点和汤先来。那鸡汤其实不错。
One set was the curry chicken. The curry was bit oily and taste quite good but the chicken was not cooked as soft as I expected. A bit pity.
一个是咖喱鸡。那咖喱有点油可是味道还好只是那鸡肉煮得不够软。有点美中不足。
The other set is the fried chicken. Spicy and sinfully nice.
另一餐食酥炸鸡。有点辣。够味道。
This yam paste was the dessert which we didn't know was part of the set meal. Pleasant surprise. Not too sweet which is good.
这芋泥是甜品。点餐时并不知道套餐有包挂甜品所以是惊喜。不太甜也好。
Total cost of the meal about $30. Not too bad for lunch at Marina Bay Sands.
两人餐花费差不多$30。在滨海湾金沙这样吃一餐还算好。

i like places like that.
heheh.. not so sure about this window. The ones upstairs which get a view of the bay is OK. This one probably have to let curious people stare at your food as they walk by. :-)
