Boh Rom-Rom : The Most Favorite Cake in Aceh

Hi... my dearest steemians. Today, I would like to let you know about our traditional cuisine. Yup! in this lovely occasion I am going to expose one of famous food in Aceh, many call boh rom-rom. Lets check it out!

Boh rom-rom or in English is called round boiled cake made of flour filled natural sweetener. This cuisine is most hunted during Ramadhan (Moslem fasting month).

The flour is mixed till it gets soft, the dye which come from the extract of pandanus leaves, is then added to emerge fantastic colour. Usually, green calour is more favourable.

Make sure the flour and dye are well mixed therefore the mixed flour is made in round form, then natural sweetener is implanted in the hole.

Boh rom-rom are boiling, we just wait until all the small balls float to have them cooked.

Boh rom-rom is done and it is time to cover with grated coconut that has been mixed with sugar

Boh rom-rom is done to serve. Hmmm....yummy....!

Fyi, boh rom-rom is still considered as the main course at fasting break. Mostly the elders are the permanent consumers.
