You should not be afraid but you surely need to know what you're eating. So, you've definitely asked the right question!
I personally picked all the mushrooms in this meal. Since I stopped eating meat, more than 10 years ago, I started intensively learning & studying about plants & mushrooms & started gardening too.
Sometimes people other people want to gift me with mushrooms but rarely I except cause I rarely trust other pickers.
You really need to invest time & effort to get to know edible mushroom species & than you will have a brand new dimension to discover!
