When I read this ghost story, I felt that the girls who felt guilty had disturbed other men's households and especially felt that she had betrayed loyalty and embarrassed their families, of course there was good moral value. This regret also haunts her so she wants to sacrifice herself to be in the world of ghosts.
Conversely, those of us who know this story can take lessons and interesting lessons.

1. we are taught to live with loyalty. it's easy to be tempted just because of circumstances
2. shame your loved ones will be very burdensome to life. They always have to maintain the good name of their family and loved ones.
3. The value of discipline given. We see fishermen or anyone must leave the island before dusk. this is the value of discipline that is embedded in this story
