Hidebehind: Fearsome Critter

One of the more dangerous fearsome critters, the Hidebehind is a human predator with cunning stalking skills. The Hidebehind is said to have a slender figure, looming around six feet tall. Because of this tall and thin body, the Hidebehind has the ability to move through the forest mostly undetected, hiding behind trees.
The fur of the hidebehind is a shaggy black, which adds to its concealment in dark forests. The creature is quick and stealthy, walking on its hind legs. It is able to conceal itself instantly, should its prey become suspicious of being stalked. Legend says that the Hidebehind can go without eating for 7 years, and when it does eat, it has a fondness for human intestines
The Hidebehind is somewhat more well known than other fearsome critters, and has been mentioned in a variety of books and television shows, including Gravity Falls and Young Wizards, and was even mentioned by J.K. Rowling on her website Pottermore.
