How to Focus Or Not to Focus - Is to Focus Or NOT to Focus?

in #focus4 years ago

I've found myself asking the same question over again: Is to focus or NOT to Focus? That is, in a business context, where your mind, heart and spirit all play an important part in reaching the results you want to achieve. The most important questions are the ones that guide your direction and guide you in the right direction.

For example, when you are thinking of making good business decisions, what does it mean to focus on what YOU want? Focus on what YOU want to get out of this, in your business and personal life. Focus on what will give you the greatest possible result and be the one thing that gets you there. Focus on what's going to make you happy, and focus on what's going to make you reach that goal.

So, what about those times when you have the right mind frame, have the right focus, and you ARE focused, but it doesn't feel like it? When you're in that place where you're not quite sure how you got there, what does it mean to focus or NOT to focus? There's nothing wrong with being in that place. If you can stay there for a few moments, it's ok. After those few moments, however, you need to change your focus and get going!

That's the question, "Is to focus or NOT to focus." If you're not very sure what you're doing, how do you know when to change your focus and get moving? Don't feel like you're stuck. That's OK. Change your mind and go from the place of being stuck.

For example, say you have been taking the right action on a plan to build a home. You are focusing on the plan, you are focused on the goal and you're focused on the end result - which is having a home. It's going great! But when the end result doesn't happen, you shift your focus and start thinking of something else.

Or maybe you have been thinking about getting back in shape and changing some habits, and then it doesn't work. Or maybe the new plan just isn't working. This is where the focus has to change.
And once you change your focus, the way you focus on the goal will change as well. It doesn't matter if you are on the right path, you need to start a new path. If you find yourself stuck in a cycle of focusing on the same-old-same and focusing on the wrong-new, then you need to start again.

If you are not very sure what you're doing or how you got here, it means that you have a problem, so start NOW. Don't waste time. Don't let any more time slip away while you wait for things to get better. Focus on what you need now, and get going!

Fix the problem NOW. Focus on the problem right now. Don't waste time. If it takes more than a minute, then don't try to figure out how to fix it, fix it and then figure out how to fix it... if it takes more than that then you need to stop... get going!

Make sure you are on the right track. Start with a goal in mind (which means you have an idea of what you want to accomplish) and how you want it accomplished. then set a goal for yourself. The second part is simple - follow through with the goal.

Remember to keep your focus on what you really want... and never get sidetracked with "not being able" to get it. When you get sidetracked, you tend to lose your focus on the right track! Make a plan, focus on your plan, and follow through with your plan. Then, when the goal is achieved... stay focused on it and stay on it.

Hi, sometimes I ask myself the same question. How do we know when to move or keep trying? What I do think is that no matter how difficult it is for us to achieve a goal if that is what we really want, we must be constant. Success.
