Working more efficiently with Fluid App (for Mac OS X)

in #fluid6 years ago

I've been using the Fluid app on my Macbook for some time now and I'm extremely happy with it. Why? The Fluid app is a small tool that makes it possible to build apps from individual websites, which can then be started and operated from the Apple Dock (Mac OS X).

Fluid is nothing else than a small browser in which the page runs. This is extremely useful for everyday tools like GMail, Google Calendar or Facebook Messenger. Here are brief instructions on how to set up. Try it out - it's really cool.

Instruction

First download the Fluid tool at: www.fluidapp.com

Then start the tool and enter the URL and the desired name of the website to be opened.

It is also recommended to find a suitable icon in the Google image search (format PNG, size 256x256 pixels), which can then be defined as an icon.

After Fluid has created the new "App", you can simply drag and drop it from the desktop into the dock.

In my opinion, the free version of Fluid is completely sufficient. There may be a limit to the number of apps you can create.

Have fun with it!

PS: And no, it's not an affiliate article or anything. I just love the tool and that's why I wrote it down.
