Jacuzzi Time: Why Fluff is a Loser's Game - Aaron St. Hilaire
Welcome back my fellow Steemians. The videos I produce are EXCLUSIVE to STEEMIT before they go live on Youtube. In this video I'll be going over...
Why Fluff is a Loser’s Game
We see fluff all around us. People give us fluff when we ask a question or when we read an article looking for a solution to a problem.
When you’re talking to somebody that’s pressed for time or you’re pitching venture capitalists, their time is valuable and the last thing they want to hear is you spewing out a bunch of adjectives and irrelevant facts.
What’s worse is, that person would be able to notice when you’re adding fluff to your conversation, it’s not a secret. It’s all in your voice and your body language. If you don’t know the correct answer to a question and you try to answer like you think you do anyway, that person will be able to tell and you won’t look any better.
In my videos for example, I have a topic and I provide a couple of example to make my reasoning understandable.
I’ve read how-to articles and they’re beefed up with all of these irrelevant facts and references, rather than helping with what the person is really looking for.
Fluff doesn’t help anybody. It doesn’t help anyone looking for an answer, a solution to a problem, it just doesn’t help when you’re using big words and research to put together a statement, when the answer was really one sentence. The rest in between doesn’t matter.
Stop being fluffy.
