RE: I've been (flu) shot
I know just what you mean. We didn't get ours until very late, when it seemed like at least the shots weren't going to make us grow a second head. But it seems the only advantage is that when you get it, you'll just get a little sick instead of a lot sick, and sometimes not even that.
My question is this: If you can still get it, still carry it, and still spread it, but might not be as symptomatic ... then is it possible that the vaccination might cause MORE spread, among people who think they're safe? I think the anti-vaxers have some good points, in this case.
Well, I decided to wait and see what happens. Since I am retired and don't need to go anywhere, I can do that without running into trouble. For now...
Being able to isolate is certainly an advantage! Sadly, I had to continue working through the whole thing. And (as I predicted), it's nowhere near over yet. Too bad my correct predictions are always bad.
May be you should predict winning the lottery. Just as a try, I mean, who is to say its a good thing... :)
I'm not sure I could fool the Fates by saying out loud that it would be terrible if I won the lottery. On the other hand, I'm not afraid to try ...
You would have to buy a ticket first, though... :)
I should try that someday!
