4 O'Clocks
It's 4:00 somewhere! These are my neighbor's pretty pink 4 O'clocks. They got their name because the flowers don't open until 4:00 PM or later every evening.
They come in different colors; pink, red, yellow and white.
They grow 1-4 feet tall and 1-3 feet wide. My neighbor had to tie them up because they get heavy.
This is what they look like when the flowers are closed.
From warm weather to this!
WISHING ALL OF YOU A HEALTHY, HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!

4 O'clocks are great throughout the day!
These pink ones here you captured are so pretty!
Happy 2018 2U @whatisnew! 🌼🌿
Thanks so much @shasta! Happy 2018 to you also! : )
I enjoyed your beautiful 4'Oclocks very much. They are sturdy, easy to grow flowers. Every year in January my favorite activity is to order my seeds for the spring. I spend with the seed catalog (usually DominionSeed House and Stoks) hours and hours. I haven't had any 4'Oclocks for years, cause of your post, I will surely order my seeds:-)
You must have a large garden and I would love to see photos of your flowers in the spring and summer. Do you plan on posting them? Have fun with your seed picking and enjoy your 4 O'clocks! I can't wait for spring to arrive. : )
Thank you :-)
O gosh, I think I rather post about coins than flowers, flowers I keep for myself :-)
But we will see, there is still a lot of time until spring, especially until spring in Wawa.
Our winters are long, but I have a small greenhouse, so that helps a lot.
(I used to have a big commercial greenhouse but that was time ago.)
Now I know why you love flowers so much. A big commercial greenhouse...I bet that was a lot of fun and a lot of work too. You must love to visit your smaller greenhouse as I am sure it puts some sunshine in your long winters. Have fun! : )
Thank you. I am not heating it in winter, I start everything in my basement, under the lights, and only move to the greenhouse when is much warmer.
I also overwinter quite many plants in my basement too. It is challenging and not really economically sound, but... I love my plants :-)
It's the opposite of Morning Glory flower... which only opens in the morning... :)
You are so smart...LOL! I didn't even think about Morning Glory's. : )
Hihihihi... ^^ Morning Glory flowers are quite common in the Philippines... <3 We don't have them in my mom's garden though.. haha ^^
Those are the coolest flowers to see!!! My Mom's neighbor has some and I find myself waiting for them to open every afternoon when I'm visiting her lol
Happy New Year!!! :D
I am happy to hear that you get to enjoy your neigbor's 4 O'Clocks too. I look forward to them opening too!
Happy New Year!
You have neighbors with material for steemit that never ends. All my neighbors have is dog dirt and over turned garbage cans. Jeesh.
LOL! I am very fortunate to have 2 neighbor's that are nice people and love plants and flowers. : )
Pretty pink flowers indeed! Oh! Really amazing that they will not open until 4:00 PM! Good finding! ;)
Yay! You found them! I knew you would like these pretty flowers with the interesting name. Thanks sis! : )
Ha ha! At first, I was much surprised why I didn't upvote this post..... Then after a while, I just realized the fact that you suggested this post to me after the 7 days reward.... ;D
Ah! You know me well, my dear sis! Yes, I love these flowers very much! ;))
