There were actually quite a lot of gorgeous flowers around - even in their rose garden.
That's awesome, because the winter can be pretty cold there. When I was there in march this year we had below 32°F and snowfall.
We did have a little bit of an extreme trip back to my hotel - it starting raining really heavily so the (Ukrainian) taxi driver had to take a few extra turns on the way to avoid the deepest waters on the road...
That's crazy, isn't it! You should have taken the elevated, it runs at least 10 m over the water holes. :)
