What Do We Need

The cactus is so unique and different in our area. I decided to show it again.
This is high humidity Florida. Not Arizona and a dry climate.
But the cactus grows anyway.
The photo of the ditch below shows that drainage ditches are needed here.

With all the water and heavy moisture is how these plants/flowers grow so well.

I like this house. It is situated on a little lake/pond in the back of the property.

IMG_1098 (1).JPG

A little bush with flowers. This is why we keep walking.
IMG_1108.JPG

An empty lot with a fence around it.
And I see a "No Trespassing" sign near the trees.
I can see the concrete driveway has been there for some years.
It must be for some long term planning?
IMG_1112.JPG

Nearby is this for sale property.
It is a modest looking place, but it seems to be a neat place to look at.
IMG_1113.JPG

A large lone tree that provides shade and a wind break.
IMG_1118 (1).JPG

Or this little lone tree that is trimmed and shaped so well.
IMG_1124 (1).JPG

One more tree to choose from to decide your preference.
IMG_1132.JPG

This duck is floating on grass rather than water. Ha
IMG_1138.JPG
IMG_1133.JPG

Another tree with fruit growing on it.
It must be a mango tree?
IMG_1140 (1).JPG

It is now time to stop once again.
You can see the new growth on the tree as a result of the recent heavy rains we have had here.
IMG_1150.JPG

It doesn't happen very often for me. But today it did.
I want to add a certain type/kind of song for today.
And I didn't have to hunt for it.
I knew what it was to be. You will get to hear it too.

The age old question for sure. What is the answer?

Thank you for following along with me as I walk though some parts of our neighborhood community.
I want to show some of it on Steemit whenever I can.

this is great photography and nice work.
Thanks @francisk
have a great day.

nice collection of pictures dear

Wow beautiful pics, these cactus I seen in my country too in Rajasthan desert area they are not so common here but not so rare easily found in deserts.
In green areas they barely found maybe there the atmosphere gives them support to survive.

Thank you for your reply and comment.
Cactus grows in abundance in the Southwest of the USA.
It has been a few years now since I have been out there.

I would like to go to Nevada and live for a few months/years to see how I like it.
Dry air vs the humid air here. Here the air conditioners are using a lot of energy to operate them.
In dry climates. The primary function of the air conditioning is to add moisture to the air.
It is low energy usage compared to our systems here in the high humidity climates.
Big difference.
And energy is going to be increasing in demand over the coming years as the population of the world increases.
Another advantage of the dry climates is the solar advantage. Plenty of sunshine for solar.
Just some thoughts that I have been pondering.

Dear sir, your heart is so grand and undoubtedly you are a lover of nature who cares it's values remarkable thing is what you emphasis many aspects in near future is also great.
Thank you for your so valuable support to me and my posts, big thank for your care to Mother Nature.
Good luck for your aim and dreams one day it will come true and if I will come there in near future I will join you to visualise and feel the power of Mother Nature.

Life is amazing full of surprises and beautiful gifts, every photograph has unique blend of surprise, here in India we are also enjoying the mango.
Nice clicks sir.

It is a true statement that you make when you say that life is full of surprises.
Some are good and some not so good.
I have lived a long time. I have seen so many changes in my lifetime.
When we moved here in Florida. It was a long dream come true for us.
Now, it is just another place. But, a very nice one though.
One thing that I have noticed about being here is the many sources of food that we have.
Many farmers grow fruits and vegetables here and dairy farms are all over Florida.
I now have a mild desire to move to Nevada for a time.
Water could be a problem there, but food should not be.
The state "could" be said to be casino powered. Ha
So, huge quantities of food would always be shipped in to add to local supplies.
California is a food growing state too. It is located next to Nevada.
Thank you for your time and support.

Dear sir @francisk what a lovely description of spectacular nature, agriculture, and society of Florida, Nevada, and little bit about California these states are naturally so rich as I know and in Florida the Nasa space mission office located if I am right where they launch rockets to space.
Florida is very naturally resources abundant as you described.
Nevada is also lovely place to live that's cool but you said some water scarcity it's water shortage issue or other issues like taste and quality, be careful while using water as it's more important than anything.
God bless you dear sir, in this surprising life I will learn so many things from your experience.
With love and respect take care.

This is amazing beauty. In which all the trees are very sweet.

You are right. It is nice to look at.
The humidity is very high though.
That is why the plants and trees grow so well.
Abundance of moisture for them.

Ya very unique cactus tree, mango tree is also good . Nice captures of duck . Thanks

Cactus tree is very long , I like your community homes , they have wooden roofs or other matrial use in it .

Most homes here have truss construction for the roof.
I know some may be a little different.
Most would still be using wood, even though composite is stronger and more durable.
But, that is what most of them are I think.
Thank you

Francis

wow nice photography really amazing collection..

I love the palm tree. It is gorgeous. Yes, it is indeed a mango tree. Mine have an abundance of mangoes now. I think we will be eating them until we look like mangoes...LOL

As I have been walking around in the community.

Some of them are large trees.
Lots of mangoes are hanging on them.
