The Orchid / National Flower
The Orchid is the national flower of my nation "Venezuela". It is one of the most beautiful flowers that exist and when the period between March-May arrives, they start to leave you are beautiful flowers of their buds.

that it covers of tonalities

in the meadows of the fields

When was it declared a national flower?
On May 23, 1951 by presidential decree, the then president of the Governing Board Germán Suárez Flamerich, after an exhaustive investigation by the Venezuelan Society of Natural Sciences.
Where does it originate?
The Venezuelan orchid is native to the Cordillera de la Costa. Cattleya mossiae is classified as an epiphytic herb that grows on other plants. Currently it is available in other areas of the country. Its favorite habitat is Ávila, north of Caracas.
How does it flourish?
Between April and May. It offers a flower of 20 to 35 centimeters long, with a single leaf and with purple, lilac and pink petals.
