POMEGRANATE

The Pomegranate or (Punica granatum) is a beautiful ornamental plant that originated in the Himalayas, Iran and northern India. The shrub grows up to five metres high and has glossy green leaves. The flowers are a striking red, and they are followed by the impressive looking Pomegranate fruit, which starts small and grow to the size of a tennis ball.
The fruit is technically a type of berry that contains many seeds.

Pomegranates have been eaten through history for their health benefits. You only have to look at the vibrant red fruit to realise that its full of antioxidants which can protect cells, reduce inflammation and remove free radicals. They are also really high in vitamin C and are a cancer preventative.
