BLUE GINGER
This beautiful ginger is native to Brazil, it is called Blue Ginger even though it looks more purple to me or (Dichorisandra thyrsiflora). It does well in moist shady spots in the garden and looks great teamed with ferns and palms. It is not a true ginger, but it has ginger-like, arching stems and vibrant, purple/blue flowers in Autumn.
Hope you enjoy.
I love ginger, at first i thought it is an edible ginger.lolx..
Lovely flower and love the name
Was wondering why it was called 'ginger'. At least you know ginger was discovered first before this flower lol or it could have been the other way round hehehe
