Spring Flowers- Violas-Part-3

VIOLAS
Violas look like miniature pansies and are perfect to plant in the spring because they can tolerate cooler temperatures.
They are from the Violaceae Family and can be found worldwide.
Violas and pansies both have 5 petals. So how can you tell them apart? Violas have 3 petals up and 2 petals down. Pansies have 4 petals up and 1 petal down.
I want to give a shout-out to my friend @shasta. I was shopping for seeds and couldn't resist taking a photo when I saw this:

We just got back from a quick beach sunset

Ohhhh, my favorite colored flowers. I love pansies and never knew there was a flower which looked similar. Now I can pretend I am flower smart, with that new knowledge. :)
I think maybe I am looking at them wrong. Seems 3 down and 2 up, unless I should be looking at them upside down. :)
And I think I just figured it out. So much for plant smarts for me, lol. Either way, they are so pretty.
3 up and 2 down...OR...3 down and 2 up...who cares! LOL! Either way they are still Violas. ROFLMAO!
Pansies are bigger and they have 4 up and 1 down, or 1- up and 4 down. Which ever way you want to look at it. I think I will be dreaming about violas and pansies tonight. LOL! : )
