Spring Flowers-Beautiful Bluebells-Part 6

BLUEBELLS
Look! I got my first Bumblebee photo of this year! Yay! These beautiful Virginia Bluebells bloom in early spring and are cold hardy plants. They are in the family Boraginacea and are native to North America.
The buds start out pink and then turn to this beautiful light blue. They will be in bloom through May before they go dormant in the summer, so there is plenty of time to enjoy them.
That bumblebee is too big and heavy to get inside the trumpet-shaped flowers, but that doesn't stop him from trying.
Bees do help with pollination, but the best pollinators for bluebells are butterflies. It is still too cold for butterflies, but I hope to see them soon.
The following two photos were taken at night.
More spring flowers to come, so stay tuned. Happy spring!

I don't believe I've ever seen those flowers. Very nice!
They are so much nicer in person. Very delicate and I love the light blue color.
Beautiful bells!
Aren't they something? So happy that you liked them. : )
The leaves and flowers remind me of wild comfrey
up here. Very beautiful photos @whatisnew!!
I really love those night time shots!!!
Never heard of wild comfrey. I will have to look them up.
Well thanks again for the wonderful compliment about my photos. I am smiling right now. : )
I love to take photos at night because sometimes the sun light just washes out the subject...object.
Thanks again! : )
Girlie looking flower. But nothing wrong with that.
I agree...frilly and dainty; except for that picture.
