BUDS, BUDS, BEAUTIFUL BUDS
My favorite part of flowers are their buds. The following photos are of my neighbor's beautiful Zinnia flower buds.
My neighbor planted these Zinnias from seed and you can buy the short ones or the tall ones. Hers were the tall ones that grew to be five feet high.
Zinnias are from the Asteracea family along with Daisies. You can see the resemblance.
The flowers are bright and colorful which attracts hummingbirds and butterflies; the main pollinators.
According to funflowerfacts.com, Zinnias are named after a "German botanist, Johann Gottfried Zinn, who wrote the first description of the flower."
These flowers symbolize friendship. So my friends, these buds are for all of you!

I planted zinnia flowers for the first time last year and was amazed by the beauty of the buds. They really look like an eye...
I am happy to hear that I am not the only one that likes buds; these are my favorites. They do look like an eye, now that you mentioned it. Another great thing about Zinnias are the butterflies and the Skipper butterflies that visit them daily. And thank you for visiting me! : )

Buds are good.
I was thinking of these buds as I posted this. I used to have a dog named "Budweiser" and we called him Bud. It is a cute story about why we gave him that name. I will post one day.
