Red Gumamela flowers

I was captivated by this big, red gumamela flowers as we passed along the trail in going to Kapungit waterfalls. I didn't know that gumamela flowers have other names like Hibiscus, China Rose and shoeflower. Other facts of gumamela flower: it is native to subtropical and tropical region like the Philippines. It can grow from 1m to 4 m high. It has a lot of variety of colors like red, yellow, orange, purple, white, pink and other colors. Aside from being an ornamental plant, gumamela flowers have other uses. It can also be used as herbal medicine. Its flowers, roots, leaves have medicinal characteristics.
