My Succulents.
Hi!
Those who are signed by me know that 99% of my posts are crypto, gadgets, programming.
But there are a couple of topics that are also interesting to me :) I have never mentioned anywhere that I'm fond of aquaristics. I have 2 aquariums at home at 50 liters and 10 liters. Aquariums are plant, from living creatures there only shrimp Rili. But, today we will not talk about this :)
About a month ago, I came across an internet photo of succulents. Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia.
Succulents (from Latin succulentus, "juicy") are plants that have special tissues for water storage. As a rule, they grow in places with arid climate. The plants that are included in the group, united by the term "succulents", are not related by common origin, their similar features are caused by similar habitats. Succulents are even among such families as aroids (zamiokulkas), bromeliads (dikkia), grape (tsissus quadrangular).
From the first photos I was literally fascinated by them so much that I decided to try to get these plants. Before that, there were several attempts to breed land plants, but somehow they were not successful. Initially, I wanted to buy myself so-called lithopses or as they are called still - "living stones." But having sprinkled on the flower shops of Kaluga, having looked in the advertisements for Avito, I realized that we do not have a special choice of varieties of lithops. Only the most common variety is found, which I did not like very much.
It's clear that he tried to ask friends, at work .... I came across several sites that offered mailing of ready-made plants, or their seeds. Moreover, seeds of succulents can be ordered for aliexpress, although I'm not so sure of my ability to grow a plant from them.
And luck to me smiled, I was promised to bring a Stone Rose, she has other names that you may be more familiar with: Molodilo and Zhivuchka. Usually he is put in a dacha and it spreads on the ground. I decided to start with this plant. Honestly, when I started to see what kind of plant this Molodilo, I realized that more Litopes I like Echeveria. I can be mistaken, but the Stone Rose is also from this kind of succulents.
And now the Stone Rose was brought home, land and clay was purchased for drainage. Finally, the plant was planted in a pot.
Well and a little other foreshortening.
As long as the plant is one, I light up the LED desk lamp. My room is dark, so I have to highlight it. After landing, it took 2 weeks. The bottom leaves have dried up, but I think it's normal, the plant gets used to a new place. If everything goes well, I plan to buy more succulents. I have a pair of spherical vases, echeveries are very beautiful in them should look.
At this perhaps I will finish. Thank you all for your attention and do not forget to subscribe to my blog!
