Travel Talk: Wakehurst Botanic Gardens
Covering 202 hectares of land, Wakehurst Place is one of the most splendid places to plan an escape into nature in order to get away from our hectic lives in the city.
Wakehurst Place is a botanic garden managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens and protected by the National Trust. It is located in Haywards Heath and it is home of a fascinating collection of exotic plants, flowers and trees from all over the world (namely South Africa, South America, Australia, and New Zealand).
Within the park, you will come across many ponds and streams, as well as an Elizabethan mansion (built in 1590), and the Kew Millennium Seed Bank.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures I took :)
