Kemuning Flower (Murraya Paniculata)
Kemuning (Murraya paniculata) is a tropical plant that can bloom throughout the year with the height of the tree reaches 7 meters. Kemuning is often grown as an ornamental plant or a hedge plant. Its small leaf shape with a fragrant terminal flower makes kemuning more loved by many lovers of plants.
The ornamental plant of Kemuning flowers is one of the many plants that grow (because it is planted) in the Rumah Gadang yard in Minangkabau which is used as a horse link. In kemuning there are isolated compounds of the coumarin class such as murremeranzin, murrangatin isopropylidene, murralonginal, and pranferin. By the people of Indonesia and the Philippines, kemuning leaves are commonly used for diarrhea and dysentery.
