My Iris Painting Found Its New Home...

Last year I did a series of flowers for a local show around Valentine's Day. This one didn't find its home until this month, but part of the business of producing paintings for sale is planting many seeds and letting them blossom in their own time. I was super excited to see an email from my website informing one of my friends from college had purchased this piece. She and her husband had purchased their first home, and I was honored they wanted one my works in their new place. I freshened up the paint, varnished it, and shipped it off to Birmingham.

She sent me this picture and said, "I can't believe I get to see this amazing piece every day when I walk through my front door." Warms my heart so much I could cry. It's really something special to be able to create things that bring joy to lives. Here it is in its new home:
