Flower raflesia arnoldi

A Rafflesia gadutensis bloom in the tourist area of Palak Siring waterfall, Kemumu, about 76 kilometers from Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province.

The blooming location of the Rafflesia flowers, can be reached from the tourist attraction of the waterfall in the Kemumu River.

Umbara added that the members of KPPL are ready to assist if there are visitors who want to see the uniqueness of this rare puspa.

In addition to enjoying the uniqueness of Rafflesia gadutensis, which is smaller diameter than Rafflesia arnoldii, visitors can also enjoy the water rides in Lorong Watu, the river that has a stone wall. Can also enjoy the water rides at Waterfall Palak Siring, Kemumu.

In the last three years, members of KPPL North Bengkulu routinely supervise the habitat of Rafflesia gadutensis in Palak Siring waterfall tourist attraction, located in Biang Lais Protected Forest.

KPPL Coordinator Bengkulu Sofian Ramadhan said tourists can see Rafflesia arnoldii in Central Bengkulu and Rafflesia gadutensis in North Bengkulu Regency.

"Currently there are two flowers that bloom each type of Rafflesia arnoldii whose size is larger and Rafflesia gadutensis," said Sofian.

He said to date there are four types of rafflesia flowers that are identified in the forest area of Bengkulu, namely Rafflesia gadutensis, Rafflesia arnoldii, Rafflesia bengkuluensis and Rafflesia hasselti.
