Dagupan Was Submerged Again

Yesterday, I went to Dagupan City for a purpose. I am surprised when I reached the city proper. I haven't heard anything about the flood before I reached the city so I am clueless about how Dagupan looks like.

The flood is deeper than the last time I saw it was flooded. Last July could have been the worst, but I did not go to the city so I haven't saw how deep the flood was.

Large percentage of the city was submerged. This area is in M.H. Del Pilar Street, which is popularly known as the Traffic Area. The street has turned into two way despite being a one-way street. They were probably allowed because of the flood.

I have no choice but to remove my shoes and walk on the flood barefooted. Until I saw a tricycle ride, which they collect 50 pesos as fare. I took the tricycle ride twice.

It didn't rain yesterday but the city was flooded. During the typhoon, flood is still not present. It came out when there's no rain.

The reason of flooding is that the city is actually prone to the phenomenon. However, it never happened before. We just had a worst rainy season, and rivers needs to be cleaned up. Moreover, the rain from the highlands go to the plain area, which contributed to the flood, as well as dam water releases. Hopefully, the water will subside so life in the city will be back on track.
