Flipkart is entering the phone market and has launched the Billion Capture+, a new smartphone under its private label Billion.

Flipkart Billion Capture+ Price in India is Rs. 10,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and Rs. 12,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant.

The new, so-called Made for India smartphone called Billion Capture+ will go on sale on Flipkart on November 15. It is powered by the mid-range octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM.

The phone runs on stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat and the company says that it will be updated to Android Oreo as well. Though, we know that the phone will have a dual camera, we don’t have any information on the implementation of the same (RGB + monochrome, wide angle lens + telephoto lens, RGB + depth sensing sensor). The page also reveals fast charging support and unlimited cloud storage for the new Billion Capture+ smartphone.

Those who are planning on buying the Flipkart Billion Capture+ can also take advantage of a host of introductory offers. On the front, the smartphone includes an 8-megapixel sensor. The storage is also expandable up to 128GB.

With the Capture+ smartphone, the company will look to capture a share in the country’s growing smartphone market dominated by the likes of Xiaomi, Micromax, Oppo, Vivo, and Samsung. There are a couple of introductory offers as well such as No Cost EMI, discounts on various debit/credit cards and more. This has a USB Type C charger and Quick Charge with Flipkart promising seven hours of battery life with just 15 minutes of charging. Flipkart used data-driven research and insights into what specifications Indian customers wanted while putting together the smartphone. The smartphone is designed using a premium body with edges to provide adequate grip coupled with Full HD display. As the company has set up more than 130 official service centres across 125 cities in India, so, after sale service is expected to perform smoothly.

Commenting on the launch of its first smartphone, Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Flipkart said, “The features in the Capture+ have been derived from deep data-mining of millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. We’re sure this customer-centricity will delight Indian smartphone buyers”.
