Why must we come up with nasty names for people we don't agree with?

If your goal is to get these flat earthers to snap out of it, do you honestly think calling them names is an effective way? Or is it an effective way of pushing them away?

You clearly don't want to help these people. You want to show people you're right. Congrats dude, the planet is a globe. Most of us know this. Why berate these people? Besides for your own ego.
