What's Up With Flat Earth?
It's actually a myth that most educated people in the days of Columbus thought the Earth was a flat disc. Even in those days, scholars believed that the earth was a sphere. Actually, even Ancient Greeks wrote about a spherical planet. So, what's up with modern people who believe, despite all sorts of physical evidence, that the Earth is still a disk. They think that one pole forms a wall of ice around the planet, and that the other pole is in the middle of the disk.

Is this flat Earth theory contrariness or a joke? It it the type of "fake news" that's meant to gain attention or even make money? It's difficult to understand, but what's important to understand is that people who believe they live on a flat disc aren't just uneducated folks living in isolation. If that was true, it would be easy to say that these people just need some education.
No, these are people that many of you have heard of because they are celebrities and have made contributions to society. (By the way, Shaquille O'Neal was just joking when he made a flat-Earth comment on the radio.)
Americans Love Conspiracies
Look, people who want to join a club and talk about flat earth are probably relatively harmless. What's more scary is that one major study found that just about half of all Americans believe in at least one conspiracy theory. If you don't believe me, you can read more on the study in the American Journal of Political Science.
I am an American, so this isn't an attack on the USA. I don't know how much people in other countries enjoy conspiracy theories or if this is just an American thing. I mean, some theories are pretty fun. Area 51, anybody?

Good article by the way. And yes i believe in Flat Earth theory. I cannot explain why but i think its possible, there are some evidence in Holy Bible that earth has 4 corners:
( Ezekiel 7:2 “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel: “‘The end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land!)

Of course if you believe in bible.
And that earth doesn't move it is still. And it has a borders . Like big ice wall . I cant give any proof but fact is that no human has crossed south pole and plains has no permissions to fly over it because excuse is that engines just freeze . And why all world has agreed that south pole will not belong to anyone. Anyway in reality it does not change anything do some one believe in that or not its their own choice.
Thanks for your thoughtful explanation. I think your opinion is a minority voice here, so it took courage to write it up for everybody. I think the planet is a sphere, but honestly, it won't matter that much to most of us in our everyday lives.
