Many years ago, someone said to me, "I want to be a businessman." I asked. "Why do you want to be a business man?" He stared at me wondering what I meant by that question. I guess a lot went through his mind during this short window.

"Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is" Ephesians 5:17 AMP

The thing is! It is not enough to be a business man because that's not a vision. Being a doctor, a lawyer or a politician is not a either because your profession should not be your vision.

You may be a doctor, a business man or a lawyer, but the next question you must ask yourself now is, "What is God's purpose for me in this profession"?

Take a deep breath and stop to think about the question and you will understand the exact point of truth in the above explanation.

Lack of purpose in life has led to frustration in many lives. Some become millionaires only to discover that money doesn't bring satisfaction, and soon they are looking for something more.

It's only God that can show a man the purpose of his life. God's words says "moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them also he glorified."Romans 8:30

Each time we talked about destiny, we are talking about what God's purpose is for your life. Your profession is not the end in itself but a means to an end. Whether or not you are going to be a politician or a lawyer isn't so important, because that's all a part of the process to fulfilling your destiny in God.

God has a purpose for your life and you can actually know it. You also have a role to play in ensuring you fulfill that purpose.

What is your purpose for living? What's that thing you have set your heart upon to accomplish?

It is not too late to discover what God wants you to accomplish for His glory. Get into His word, spend more time in prayer and He will guide you in the path you should follow.
