Contend For The Faith

Brother Jude, in his letter to the church, charges us to contend for the real faith that was delivered to us. "Don't let it watered down. Go for the real thing that was given to you," he says. In other words, don't settle for sub standard christianity!

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" Jude 1:3

 We can't win the world for Jesus without proof.

The power of the Spirit of God must be manifested in your life. People have said that I preach miracles but I disagree. I don't preach miracles, I preach Jesus! The message of Jesus brings the healings, and miracles that we see in our ministry.

Don't always forget the Bible verse that says, how shall they believe without sign and wonders. The message of Jesus is meant to restore hope, faith and trust in God to handle every of your situations. My brother you don't have problem until your problem defines you. Your response to your circumstances determines its magnitude in your life. (Romans 10:13-14)

 Learn to respond from the word of God.

The Bible says "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (Acts 10:38). So, the message of Jesus is the message of Christ; meaning that it is the message of the anointing. When its preached burdens are removed and yokes are destroyed completely because of the anointing that is present (Isaiah 10:27).

In Acts 19:1-20, Paul went to Ephesus, a city that was wholly given to idolatry, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He preached for about three months it little success. But when the people saw mighty miracles he performed in the Name of Jesus they believed.

In Acts 19:11-12 the Bible says, "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them." The presence of God was awesome in the land such that ".....fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many that believed came, and confessed.... " (Acts 19:17-18). Hallelujah!

I made up much mind a long time ago to contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Without the miraculous, there is no other way to validate our claims that Jesus is alive.
