Thank God for everything!

A person who loves God goes every day to his presence. But there are many people who in the time of intimacy become professional solicitors and this is not bad, because the writing says that "ask and it will be given to you". There are others who come to his presence to tell their problems to God, others to worship him, all this is good, because God likes to intimate with him in his presence.

But there are times we pray and pray and we feel that God does not listen to us or we begin to adore him and nothing happens, this may be for many reasons, but the most common is that we do not know how to correctly enter his presence, see what he says the holy Bible:

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  Psalm 100:4 New International Version (NIV)

The scripture tells us that we should go to it with thanksgiving, but there is something very important that stands out in this passage, it says "enter through its doors". When we go on visits, either to a shopping center, to a friend's house and they allow us to enter their house, which is the first place we go through? It is the true front door, that is, when you come to him and pretend to intimidate the first thing you must do before happening is to give thanks.

The psalmist does not say that you go through an intersection, with spiritual warfare or with worship, he says come with thanksgiving. For all the above there may be a time in your intimacy with God, but you must start with thanksgiving. It is important to enter first and then do the other!

But what is the action of thanks?

The action of thanks is our response to the works of God. Thankfulness fills you with joy and new strength to keep going. To be grateful you have to remember the benefits of God.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.  Psalm 103:1-2 New International Version (NIV)

Then we must come to him with thanksgiving, remembering his benefits, meditating on what he has done and will do in us, valuing so many things that God does and expressing our gratitude with our words.

Now, once we enter through its doors with thanksgiving, the psalmist says in Psalm 100: 4 that we continue with praise, then we praise our God with joy, but this will be another topic for a short study, I hope you are short lines have served as edification for your spiritual life, let us remember then to thank God for everything he does in our life. Blessed day!
