That was my mistake. It's been fixed.
The upvote gives you curation value, the resteem only helps if people know you resteem valuable content and also vote on the post
Resteem is like a retweet, it just gives more publicity to the post, and if you voted on it and it gets more upvotes, it's an indirect way to improve the curation.
