@polebird: ❤️ Flying on a lady base! ❤️
Here's a clip from the first acro class I took with my friend Jess. She is pretty strong and wanted to try basing me in a shoulder stand. Lady bases - I have such respect! Bases use a lot of muscles in the quads, arms, and have to stack their bones properly in alignment in order to get a flyer in the air. In class we learned that you could flip yourself out of the shoulder stand, and it definitely took a few tries to get the feel for that flippy move. Acro with friends is always a lot fun - you really never know what you are capable of until you try it!
Love,
Jess

I'll really like to try that out soon. Hope I wont get hurt @polebird?
you should! baby steps!! :)
Nawwwww, @dtube just isn't working out for me this morning. I assume everyone's going to love this video, who doesn't want to see some literal Jess on Jess action? I'll come back in a bit to see if we can get some good ol' fashioned loading all up on in here.
hahah I actually have the video named jess and jess acro :D hope it works later!
It just worked now! Jess seems so sweet, and really seems to have her base technique down nicely... her arms and shoulders must be so strong. I love how close everyone is in the class, so much hugging and happiness, so good to see. I'm so glad you found little fun little world.
hehehe yeah it was pretty fun to go to our first acro class together, have you gone to class yet? :)
I HAVE
... not.
I really want to make it happen... but we keep going on hikes on Saturdays and I have Ninja Class on Sundays. Still.... gotta smash that goal!
How can you be so flexible..thumbs up!!! Upvoted
heheh thank you!
Jess flying with Jess!
heheh yayyyy! yes sir!
Super cool.
I love how our bodies are able to do all these crazy things and again you make it looks like a piece of cake.
That is very cool that you got into this acro class because it really resignates with your pole fitness.
How did it feel like after the first class? Was it quite different than what you are used to or is it pretty easy and similar to your pole fitness?
hehe thanks! It comes with time/practice. Yeah acro yoga, aerial arts, and even yoga have so many similarities to pole - you need to train flexy, strength, all the things :P - cross training is great! It was fun after we did the first class and we were able to do some moves! It still has a lot of differences to pole, pole is metal and super unforgiving, you really have to get used to it. Plus pole is a lot of pulling down through the shoulders, grip strength and in acro you are usually pushing against your partner to balance
Good job! Did you try to make a scorpio ?
hahah not toooo much at that point! I just did one the other day tho finally :P no where near your head to toes tho!
Super strong 💪
thanks!
🎯✌️
Sometimes we fool around on the dance floor to create routines like that, but we end up usually crashing lol.
hahah yeahh, happens to us too!! :P
