@polebird: ❤️ Pushing past your comfort zone - dtube pole combo ❤️

in #fitness8 years ago (edited)

In today's pole combo video I challenged myself and tried a couple new things. First, I took my extended butterfly now that it is pretty solid up a notch and tried it on spinner AND higher up the pole! Technically doing a trick higher up the pole should have the same feel for body positioning as doing it towards the lower end - it is just a mind game. Sometime's putting a trick on spinner can have the effect of pulling your body away from the pole, depending on the spin and mechanics of the trick - looks like it did okay here though! :D

So, I also left my hair down. :D I would like to incorporate hairography into my routines, but it definitely is not easy! Usually my hair ends up getting stuck to my face or sometimes I even ripped out a few strands when trying to pop into a handspring or handstand. This is such a work in progress, I usually get annoyed and end up putting my hair in a ponytail. Pole is NOT about staying in your comfort zone and challenging yourself, so I guess the goal is to become one with the hair hahah. This combo ends with a thread-thru to an interesting cross legged shape on the pole. Thanks for watching!

it is the thing to do if you want to get out of the comfort zone.
do the best, the results determine the business we do.

@polebird

yeah, agreed! that's how you make the gain! :)

👍👍👍👍👍

Do you rub glue on your body before you start poling? I can't stop wondering how you display such moves in a pole.
This is awesome.

hahah so the tack of the pole depends on the temp in the room, the humidity - skin usually sticks to the pole naturally a bit, if needed we use some tack there is hand tack kind of similar to gymnast chalk or regular tack that can be applied the knees... the rest is just using muscle and squeezing/jamming against the pole lol. maybe I will make a post about that.

Hmmm. I will love to read a post on the explanation of the secrets behind that. Lol

Sport is a way to get a healthy body healthy, as it is a means of getting rid of diseases, a man who practises sports can reach a strong, harmonious body.

Love the Extended Butterfly pose (move). It looks beautiful and your hair pose is awesome, I love it.
Your photos should be on the magazines, so beautiful

Really want to get into pole someday. Possibly too old!!

no way!! Most people can pole if they try - practice makes progress in pole! I have awesome pole sisters of all ages and they never cease to amaze me with what they can do!! I hope you try :) Plus you have all the aerial experience, I believe in you!

you need a great hand strength to lift your body entire weight... I love the way people do body flag... I wish I could do it one day

yeah!! That's on my goal list :)

Good luck and let us know when you reach your goal will be happy to see your achievement

yooo you nailed it!

thanks! Still looking to add more flare to the combo and maybe a few more tricks at the end! :D

This is our 'flare.'

And I have been struggling with it for 15 years lol.
