Today I Learned How Out of Shape I'm In



Day one wasn't so lovely... I met up with my trainer, Johannes and we did a basic workout to see where I stand in land of fat people... My juice was running low on the phone battery and I didn't have anybody to be my camera guy. Lucky for me, He was ready and excited to start documenting the journey, just as much as I was. The video quality is a bit low but what can I say.. he's not a film geek like me and this first video was actually shot and edited by my trainer, himself.

Yea, I got a long road ahead of me and it ain't going to be pretty... I have around 45 pounds I want to drop just so I can feel like myself again. Struggling with weight issues isn't anything unusual but I may have let my weight get a little too far out of hand this time around.

This first episode is a little short but it's a start of a badass journey and commitment I made to get my ass back in shape. Everybody on steemit get's to watch and hopefully.. join in. Hells yeah! I love these kind of posts. Personal development is the bees knees. I didn't start working out until I hit my 20s. 4 years later (with a lot of laziness in between), I run 3.5 km every morning and do strength/conditioning in the afternoon. The results are in the effort.

Good luck @mrwang! You won't regret it. Hard work in the gym always pays off!

thanks.. yea, I gained a whopping 45 lbs, trying to stay heavy looking for #HighlandPark and the next season of QOTS. Once I finished filming #HighlandPark... I said screw it, enough was enough... I can't let myself go too much so now I'm busting ass extra hard to overcome a weight I should have never allowed myself to get to in the first place.

I do agree tho.. the result is in the effort.. you have to want to feel good and healthy... I've been up and down over the years but when it comes time for me to grind down on dieting and working out is when I do my best and stay focused on it.

I feel you brother. The best advice I can give you is to not make excuses. Every excuse leads to another and that's when you don't do anything for a week, which then becomes two weeks, then a month, etc. So you're exactly right, you have to want it.

Dieting though... I hate that part, hahaha. I need to start dieting. I've gotten to a point where in order to get some abs going on, I have to eat less, and I like eating lots.

There's so many different ways to work out. Find a way that makes sense to you. I like to go for a warrior style workout because of my Maori heritage :D

trainer has me on light morning breakfast so I can work out in the AM with him and mostly cruciferous veggies with a chicken breast. I try to stick to it but my Mexican blood makes it hard to fall victim to tacos :P

Ahhh, I'm glad I do not have easy access to Tacos. They're tasty enough to trap anyone! haha
