Work out again if I'm sore?

sore.jpgNo! If your sore that means that you've done micro damage to your muscle fibers and need to let them heal. This state of being is called delayed onset muscle soreness. You can work out muscles that are not sore while others are. The muscles that are sore you can work them very lightly, just enough to give them a little blood flow to deliver nutrients and flush the lactic acids. To help relieve the soreness first off, high protein diet and lots of sleep. Also you can take some Tylenol, stretch, ice. What ever works for you. If you can try and stay away from Ibuprofen type pain relievers like this because they stop inflammation . Inflammation is the bodys natural way of healing its self. Like I said protein and sleep are the best things to cure muscle soreness. Again do not work out your sore muscles again. You can cause micro damage working already torn muscles resulting in long term injury and also actually slow your muscle growth.
