ankle fracture repair my way
Snap...it sounded like a gun shot, ….F@#k please don’t let it be my achillies . I was trail running on Table Mountains in Cape Town South Africa and the sound was my ANKLE as it snapped and broke. Stepping badly on a loose rock- A clean fracture through the Fibula.
SO .... How is it that exactly 14 weeks later I was able to run a 16km race up and down Table Mountain in hectic weather conditions -( rain , hail , wind and temprature of 2 degrees)- in a time of 1hr37min........
I am a 55 year old female runner....
NO.... I did not break the bank with rehab costs, specialist bills and fancy biokineticists.
I am a first time Steemit Blogger and look forward to blogging my story…..and hoping it will inspire anyone who has a sports injury.
