Exercise of the Day: Split Jump
Day 5 exercise: Split Jump
The Split Jump is a plyometric exercise, where you start in the lunge position and spring upward with maximum force, switching legs in air to return to the lunge position on the opposite leg. You'll build up explosive strength in your glutes, quads, and hamstrings while also toning your calves, helping you to jump higher and sprint faster.
This exercise is NOT for beginners. You should be in good enough shape that your body allows you to jump without issue. If your hips, knees, ankles, etc are not strong enough to handle high impact exercises, it's best to avoid this one.
I'll be presenting 1 exercise a day for the next 50 days as part of my personal challenge to get in "Wedding Shape" this year and as part promoting of my side business, See & Be Fitness.
All of the exercises will be body weight and free weight exercises, so no need for fancy equipment or machines.
