Fly Fishing in Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow, Oklahoma
This past weekend I drove to Beavers Bend State Park in Broken Bow Oklahoma for an outing with the Fort Worth Fly Fishing club. Broken Bow is a very scenic part of Oklahoma and even has "mountains." The fishing and scenery was fantastic as was hanging out with a bunch of the guys from the club. We had a few drinks and tied flies in the evenings and the club supplied some good Ol Texas barbecue Saturday evening for dinner. If you ever get a chance to go to Broken Bow you certainly need to do it.
Some of the guys.
A rock full of fossilized shells.
A trout taken on an olive woolly bugger.
A trout taken on a bead head soft hackle pheasant tail nymph. It is always fun catching trout on flies tied by yourself.
Fly fishing.
A woodpecker.
