THE DAY I CAUGHT A FISH THAT CHANGED MY LIFE.
Cat fish are fresh water fish. In Europe, Clarias (specie:
gariepinus) was first introduced in the Netherlands in 1976. The first brood stock originated from the wild from 40 African catfish transferred from the Central African Republic (CAR) . Commercial farming of this species started in 1985 in recirculation aquaculture systems .
However, as a fresh-fish farmer we often engage in seasonal stocking and harvesting of fishes. To me i consider fishes a the" yin and yang" of life some are meant to be active (male) while some are inactice(female). After many years of fish farming we've gotten several sizes of fishes of about 0.4-1.5KG within the space of 6month max until the day i encountered the fish i call "maxwell".
Maxwell was about 4KG within 5 months,initially i thought it was one of those fishes that escaped the last harvest which is not through because the pond was drained,limed and left to fallow before use.
The size of maxwell crossed my mind with the phrase originated by Charles Darwin;The
biological concept of fitness is defined as reproductive success.Maxwell most have fed more thats why he grew stronger and healthier.
Nevertheless, Maxwell became the farmers choice for" fish soup" earlier than others before it starts feeding on others due to its advantage over others .

In all your endeavors, ensure you survive and try as much to carry others along, don't be a lone winner so that you won't be used as bait. Be the best and not the beast because the beast will be eliminated to keep the best alive.
