Night fishing: Lord of Light! Pls fix my schedule, so i can spend whats left of august at the river

Fire is there, but it lights up only tiny area.. It more something to stare into.

Rocks are warm, and fishies are collecting insects from surface with loud splashes. Sometimes they jump out like dolphins. Rats, wild animals and stray dogs&cats, are coming for refreshment after the midnight. Seems they doesnt care much about our fire.

Its so silent compared to city noise, but its so loud and full of life. Nothing to see, but so much to hear around. 4 of us, talking nonsenses and laughing all the time, but somehow everyone talks and laughs with low voice. I guess its because of listening al that "silence" around.

Crickets are the main background. Then birds, of all kinds. Thrush Nightingale, Blackbird.. Pheasants are loudest and eeriest. Theres branches cracking, theres fast running through dried grass, humming of nearby whitewater, some huge wings clapping above. Theres small Pike trying to get some minnows under our feet, and forcing them to slide all the way into the shore while running for their lives.
Ive been patient to shoot it, but the Pike was more successful to get herself a meal before i took any good photo. This one was the best:

We got only one rainbow trout, and few nice chubs - all still swimming. Alert bells on rods were singing few times, but we didnt even get up to check it most of the times. Ive never seen this place during the day, so i lost few lures. We arrived after changing several locations, and it was already pitch black when we stopped to make a fire.

Unlike my last fishing trip, this one was pure enjoy.

Mainly because i had more heads to think of preparation. Im too minimalistic. Not even carrying water- type. Well i do it mainly because i know i can be without water for 1 whole day. Who knows where i would end and when would i return home with whole bottle. Im not to be trust when i get a chance to get lost at places like this.

If everything goes by a plan, tonight well have more people, diff river, bigger fire, and some really good local white wine.

notes to self: find a house by the river and move in; learn to take night pics.

Yay! Glad it was a good time.I hope to go fishing tomorrow <3

i hope for 4th night in a row =)

do tell how was it when you re back ^^

I fish because I love to ,because I love the environs where trout are found ,because I suspect that men are going along this way for the last time, and I for one don’t want to waste the trip . . . and, finally, not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant and not nearly so much fun.

its hard to describe it to non fishermen. i used to buy simple gear and give it to friends, take them for fishing for the first time at the places even i never been before. All of them got totally converted, some became fanatics. I think im responsible for at least 20 new fishermen.

And i love the trout habitats the most. We have a lot of these around, it takes half of life to visit only half of them =)

I think it will take more time for us to destroy all that. But who knows, we re experienced and highly innovative when it comes to destruction.

Fish is missing on the fire. hahaha. It's always fun doing some fishing activities at night time and in the forests.

is eat fishies only if i have no other choices and i have to get some fuel, i really dont like the smell.

and my friends who likes to eat fishies dont like me at all, because i am into catch&release since ever lol

That first picture looks sick :)

I love fishing because it gets you out in nature. Its such a relaxing thing sitting near a lake, stream, pond anywhere there is a opportunity to catch fish.

Recently im passing it on to the next generation, I take my GF's two girls fishing. They used to hate it, until one day at a pond we where getting bite after bite and then they where hooked! Now I have 2 new fishing buddies.

I think everyone should go fishing, its relaxing and lets you enjoy the beautiful nature all around us, that for most, don't ever get to experience it fully :) upvoted, resteemed and followed. Great stuff my friend!

lol yes, i forgot to say its a key thing in recruiting civilians, they must have good 1st catch.. :D
and shh not everyone should go fishing i have a friend who spend 2 days at most beautiful european canyon only staring at his phone screen and sexting married italian (wo)men...

Lol a guy in high school always made us leave our phones in the car...one day a friend of ours was bitching at his girl for hours on the phone...well lets just say that phone died a painful death lol...

I just loved fishing
